Malsi Deer Park zoo (Dehradun)
I am one of those who is a nature enthusiast and wildlife lover so I Thought of making a trip to such place. One of my friend suggested me about Malsi Deer Park Zoo, then we planned outing trip to this park. Which is located near dehradun, on Mussoorie Road. The Zoo is one of the famous tourist place of Dehradun Uttarakhand. The park offers nice wildlife, fun activities, and surrounded by greenery. The park is open for everyone like kids, adults, families, couples.
let’s talk about how was my experience of visiting the zoo. When I entered inside the gate, I felt Peaceful environment than hustle and bustle of the city life. I can say if you are thinking about to take a little break from daily life, then you should definitely visit here once. After entry I saw small play area for kids, it has Swings and slides. This particular area is designed for childrens so that they can do physical activity while enjoying the scenic beauty of the park. There are statues of popular cartoon characters like (chhota bheem, chutki). we clicked some pictures (Childhood is always inside us) with statues. Here are some pictures I took there.
Then we moved ahead we found a path of birds residing area. where birds are kept safe. The zoo has limited species of few birds. There were some gorgeous variety of birds including colorful Parrots, eagles, peocock etc. The sound of chirping birds was very soothing and enjoyable. There are informational boards available of the birds, animals, plants in the park, so that everyone can know about them, also helps to enhance the educational experience for visitors. Overall This area was very peaceful and enjoyable for me.
Then we sat on a bench for a while to enjoy the greenery, fresh air, and favorable environment. After spending some time we went to the aquarium, which was inside the park. The aquarium is one of the attractions within the Malsi deer park.
Malsi Aquarium
I saw both types of freshwater and seawater fish in the aquarium. Which was interesting. Here we can not only see the different species of fish but also learn about them.
We walked around the whole aquarium and took pictures with fish. Overall we had a lot of fun at the aquarium. Visiting the aquarium was one of my favourite things in the Malsi deer park. And it was great experience for sure.
Malsi deer park animals
The park is home to various animals and birds, such as deer, nilgai, peacock, rabbits, crocodile, snakes, owl and more. After visiting some part of the park we enjoyed nature walk with well defined paths. It was close up view of lush greenery. The park is designed to resemble a natural forest environment, which includes various species of trees and plants. I felt natural vibes there which was mind refreshing. So We spent a lot of time there. It was like picnic spot for me, where I could relax and enjoy the natural surrounding.
Then as we walked further we saw some species of snakes like Indian rat snake, Indian cobra, Indian rock python etc. There is no danger from wildlife in the park because they are kept safely. But as per the park’s guidelines, It is still important to follow some general safety tips specially for childrens.
Apart from these creatures we saw crocodiles, turtles, and two-horned deer.
conclusion
Visiting the park was a delightful experience for me. I felt connected to nature there and also got a chance to learn about flora and fauna. Malsi deer park is very well managed, there is clean drinking water at various places for the visitors and there is also a canteen for food.
